Little Flamingo's Little World

Once upon a time there was a bird called Flamingo. She had a baby bird that she named Little Flamingo, or Flaminguito. By the time Flaminguito turned one year old, she was doing a lot of funny things that Flamingo wanted to share with all the other birds in her flock. When a friend from the monkey exhibit at the Zoo told her about a blog, she decided to start one of her own...then two little baby blue birds came along and she added their antics to her blog, too...this is Flaminguito's blog.

Just to get everyone up to date...we've all been working a lot in the garden lately.

Even the littlest bird is getting to work...she figures if she just adds water and some nutritious soil, she'll grow really fast!

But seriously, we have been working in other areas, too...here's our Hosta garden, we still have to add bark and a few more plants, then we'll try to put the waterfall in next weekend, it will go just behind that tree you see and will trickle down to these plants, in sort of a natural-looking "Oregon"-like environment. I know, botanists, Hostas aren't native to Oregon, but I didn't say "native" looking, I said "natural" looking. Our garden will have a few introduced species.

I know it goes something like this, but now, how do I get it to spin around me like you did, Mom?

Don't tell my Dad, but I like these little flowers, so I'm blowing to spread them all over our back lawn, it looks too plain and grassy without them, so I brought some home to surprise him!

I love visiting grandparents...but... that darn sand gets everywhere...

and I DO mean EVERYWHERE!

She just won't get off my back! Here we are at my parents' house and Little Miss Flaminguito will not get off my back about getting her a mango...see, she's right there saying, "Mommy, mangie peese!" Isn't that adorable?
