Little Flamingo's Little World

Once upon a time there was a bird called Flamingo. She had a baby bird that she named Little Flamingo, or Flaminguito. By the time Flaminguito turned one year old, she was doing a lot of funny things that Flamingo wanted to share with all the other birds in her flock. When a friend from the monkey exhibit at the Zoo told her about a blog, she decided to start one of her own...then two little baby blue birds came along and she added their antics to her blog, too...this is Flaminguito's blog.

Last night was soooo exciting...I got to see Elmo, for real, in real-puppetry-life.

He came to town for a show with all his friends, they sang and danced and I got to do it all along with them.
Mommy and Daddy said the people inside must have been really hot, but they still did some amazing stunts with all that gear on.
Even Oscar the Grouch was fun, the choreography was amazing!

My cheeks were tired at the end from all that smiling, and slept really, really, really well!

Curious George Comes to Town

And I got to meet him at the library.

Not wanting to get too close, I handed the pictures I made for him to the librarian.

He was a lot bigger than I expected, but I liked it a lot!

Drumroll please...

are you ready for this?

The waterfall is finished!

And we think it's beautiful...here's a picture from when we first turned it on, the bark wasn't laid around it yet, but you'll see those in a moment.

Water under the bridge.

The Baby Bird's sitting rock, this is where she soaks her feet.

A small pool to float boats in...

Driftwood Bar.

A well-crafted spillway.

Ooohhh, that's all I can say.

No...Ahhhh, is pretty appropriate, too. I don't mean to brag, but my husband did an AMAZING job and I had to share it with everyone!

A Weeping Alaska that we think is really pretty...it's weeping because it's so happy to be here!

A Coral Bark Japanese Maple.

Another view.

A cute landscape helper.

Yesterday was a day for my hair...Mommy started with a crown...here's the top view.

Here's another angle.

Here's the front view...kinda sloppy, but she just needs more french braid practice and soon, she'll be like my auntie...who did the do below.
Wow, now that's impressive, it's so...clean and stays together...Mommy needs some lessons.

Aw, the dog-days of summer...well, a hot day in spring felt like summer at least.

Mommy bird brought out the pool to splish splash in.

Cousin A. came over to share in the fun...

Mommy says we're growing like weeds...it could be caused by the pot of fertilizer she put us in.

We can't wait for the warm weather to come and stay so we can do this every day!

Row, Row, Row Your Boat!

We went rowing with Daddy Bird to catch some fish...I think that's what flamingoes (or fingaloes, as she calls them) eat.
I kept busy on the bow...

on the bank...

and in the boat.

Mommy Bird rowed us through the easy water,

pretty, isn't it?

Some Canada Geese who honked hellow, we honked right back, flamingo style.

And Daddy Bird and I rowed through the more treacherous waters, it was a great first trip out in his boat.

Bird Watching...
I went birdwatching the other day and discovered this polka dotted little thing with yellow legs. Sometimes she's just too cute NOT to take pictures of!
