The Hot Days of Summer

Ahhh, summer.  Busy, but fun and relaxing in its own way.  I love playing with the kids doing all the things unique to summer, fun, fresh fruits, fireworks, pool time, hiking, camping, our oldest child's birthday, all the things that I take pictures of so I can remember them during the colder months.  It's funny how much joy can be conveyed through a single picture.  And amazing how many pictures I can take and the years still seem to fly by.  Before I get too nostalgic (my daughter turned 7 today...) Horse Camp 2012

The big bird finished her 2012 Horse Camp with a bang!  Literally.  The camp is next to a cherry orchard and they have to shoot a blank shotgun shell every 5 minutes or so to scare away the birds and deer, so she finished with a bang!  Here are some photos from the great event.  She is wearing the pink shirt and pink helmet with the brown riding pants.  Her cousin and some good friends came out to watch, which made it extra-special for her.
