A lot has happened since our last post, 4 weeks before baby's due date.
Here's the best recap I know how to do...a giant conglomeration of photos from then to now.
Beginning just after the ides of July, our oldest daughter turned 9 on the day our youngest son was born...I cannot even begin to write about the joy I felt that day, what a blessing to share something so special together. He came quickly, which was also a blessing, after only 2 1/2 hours at the hospital we got to meet our newest little bundle and still had the rest of the day to get to meet him and introduce him to the family. Since then, we've enjoyed getting to know each other and setting up our life with the "adjusted schedule" (or lack thereof) included... Some people might say life with 4 kids is a bit crazy, I call it blessed chaos. We wake to the beautiful cooing of our little guy most days, this morning followed by our middle son asking if I'd like him to make me coffee (I'm sure a 3 year old can make fantastic coffee, but I got up and made my own) while the big bird read stories to her brothers.
The blue bird (2nd born, oldest son) loves snuggling the baby and rocking him to sleep and the little smily bird (3rd born who almost always sports a kissable grin) likes to help change diapers and be Mommy's big helper. We celebrated his 3rd birthday in August with a "tie dye" party at his request...note the tie dyed cupcakes :) I made while the big bird took care of the baby in her corner of our nest all afternoon.
School started, we have a 3rd grader, Kindergartener and a home schooled preschooler who LOOOVES to "do school" with Mom every morning.
We went camping in the Blue Mountains when baby turned 6 weeks old, wonderful trip...cold, the baby's wipes froze in our tent at night (but he was bunted and warm in his travel crib)! Just this week the weather has started turning cooler and we've dipped out of the unseasonable 80s and 90s, we even have the heat turned on this morning! Fall is finally here and with every leaf that covers our lawn I think I could find something to thank God for. Please enjoy our pictures as you view our journey of the past 3 months.
