Little Flamingo's Little World

Once upon a time there was a bird called Flamingo. She had a baby bird that she named Little Flamingo, or Flaminguito. By the time Flaminguito turned one year old, she was doing a lot of funny things that Flamingo wanted to share with all the other birds in her flock. When a friend from the monkey exhibit at the Zoo told her about a blog, she decided to start one of her own...then two little baby blue birds came along and she added their antics to her blog, too...this is Flaminguito's blog.

We got the chance to coordinate a Wedding Mob Song for my brother's wedding.  My parents and a good friend, Linda, re-wrote the words to Stevie Wonder's, "We Just Called to Say..." and tailored it to the couple's wedding day.  I had the joy of starting (solo! yikes!) the surprise and the Big Bird joined me, then the bride's Mom and sisters, then all the women and finally all the men.  It was such a surprise to my brother and his new wife, we hope you enjoy the video from it!
My brother returned the surprise by joining the band with an amazing dueling saxophone performance.  We all were shocked when he appeared on stage...here's the video from that one.

Fun Day at the Beach

Enjoying our vacation and taking advantage of the sunny day (rare treat here lately, we hear).  It was beautiful, warm(ish) and not even windy!  Here are some pics from the basking beach babes.

Rainy Day Blues (Blue Birds, that is)

Spring weather can bring a mix of emotions.  Sometimes we really love the fresh, cool rain...other times it's downright disappointing.  This day it was a little of both.  Fun to play in, but he was missing something...the wet weather made his brother stay inside to play and he wanted his playmate back.
But the sun will come out tomorrow...and it did.  And we played some more...and we thought of Mama with the stormy weather...and we learned that the Big Bird really likes soccer...and we got to visit with family we hadn't seen in a while...and the silver lining outshone the rain.
